The Retreat’s Celebrity suites will offer a space of 401ft² and feature a 100ft² veranda. The suites will have a large living area with a sofa and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Celebrity Ascent is expected to sail on her maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades in December 2023 for a Caribbean season of alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. The two-storey Edge Villas within the Retreat will be spread across 739ft² with a 211ft²veranda. They will feature one bedroom and two bathrooms, a plunge pool on the terrace and a whirlpool tub in the primary bathroom. The Celebrity ship Ascent was launched/floated out from drydock on January 21, 2023. Exclusively for the Celebrity ship ascent were developed three new shows titled "Awaken" (dreams-themed), "Residency" (Las Vegas-themed) and "Bridges" (exploring human emotions/connections against the backdrop of the world's most famous bridges).

When I asked about the alfresco dining area, I was told it wasn't available. We know our current main dining experience across our fleet is one of the reasons guests sail with us time and time again. To maintain this essence of the Celebrity dining experience on Ascent, we created the Cosmopolitan Restaurant—the next evolution of our current main restaurants. The walk-through wine display at the entrance sets the scene for the creative cuisine within—new American with global influences. Enjoy regional European wines, deliciously unique cocktails, tantalizing starters, and mouthwatering entrées. For specialty dining, gastronomes will geek out at Chef Daniel Boulud’s signature Le Voyage completely redesigned in a new color palette with a private dining room.
The exclusive space also features a private restaurant, Luminae (pictured). The high-end restaurant from Chef Daniel Boulud has been redesigned with a new chandelier, plush banquet seating and gold tones throughout the space. Using both raw and refined elements with earth tones, pearlescent accents, and natural textures, we’ve created a sophisticated yet approachable restaurant.
The entertainment team also does shows in Eden (normally after the dinner hours) and TheClub, a nightclub space adjacent to The Theatre. It’s a private space for up to ten passengers and can be booked in two-hour blocks to watch televised sports events, host a karaoke party, have a group movie night or party, or gather around a sports simulator. The packages include food and soft drinks from the onboard gastropub Craft Social. While elevated, the ship’s entertainments and activities are largely traditional in style—casino, live theatre, nightclubs, bars, deck games—you won’t find whizbang attractions like roller coasters, skating rinks, or bowling alleys here. During the day, "Le Grand Bistro" (in the Atrium on Deck 4) operates as a patisserie and cafeteria serving French cuisine. The dinner experience includes visual mapping technology with animated 3D characters projected (from above) onto tables and on plates.

The lounge's 90-m / 295 ft long ramp envelops the entire space and provides panoramic views. The lounge's unconventional furniture and interiors are designed by Patricia Urquiola (Spain). She also designed the lounge's "Library of Plants" (living garden) and the hanging plant pillars. Lounge's designer is Scott Butler (Wilson Butler Architects, Boston MA). Eden is a 3-deck high (aft-location on decks 4, 5, 6) lounge-bar-restaurant venue with live music and shows programming changing throughout the day.
The dramatic raw bar display at the entrance showcases an abundance of oysters, crab, and lobsters to choose from. The menu, also available at the Magic Carpet when positioned on deck 5, will feature more casual offerings like Shrimp Salad, our signature Lobster Roll and sushi and sashimi prepared by our expert sushi chefs. AquaClass® guests will enjoy this exclusive restaurant featuring clean, crisp flavors and inventive cuisine complemented by an extensive list of sustainable, biodynamic wines.
The facilities are open throughout most of the day, and are complimentary except for some periods, where there’s a nominal babysitting fee. Celebrity has also committed to providing a welcoming, autism-friendly environment on its ships, with sensory-friendly films and toys available. That said, Celebrity’s focus remains on adult cruisers, so families won’t find a lot of kid-centric entertainments beyond the kids’ centers. Celebrity is a premium big-ship cruise brand, focusing on exquisite dining, cutting-edge amenities, Instagram-worthy public spaces chock full of bespoke art pieces, and avant-garde onboard entertainment.
