For example, on Friday night, the food included a tasty vegetable noodle dish in soy sauce, lamb curry with rice, a cold noodle salad, cheeses, bread, and crackers, followed by some slices of deliciously good cake about an hour later. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in our Park View Suite at the JW Grosvenor House.

In 1889, electricity was introduced, being one of the first buildings in London to do so. Grosvenor House was one of the largest townhouses in London, home of the Grosvenor family (the family of the Dukes of Westminster) for more than a century. Their original London residence was on Millbank, but after the family had developed their Mayfair estates, they moved to Park Lane to build a house worthy of their wealth, status and influence in the 19th century. Of course the front desk staff ( Anna, Gabrielle) very sweet staff and helpful. Also the room service crew especially Mrs. Sharifa, I appreciate her efforts and her crew. Great location, large comfortable rooms with every comfort included, goos food and friendly professional staff. Excellent Location (walking distance to most of the London's iconic tourist places) and train stations (Marble Arch), good service, decent facilities, a bit pricy...... It is said that the home originally housed one of the best private art collections in the world, with paintings by Gainsborough, Velázquez and other old masters.
Staying here was like having our very own apartment in my favorite part of London, with views over Hyde Park. The suite was beautifully decorated in a contemporary style, dressed in grey hues with orchids and other plants scattered around. The living room was large, with two sofas, a coffee table, a desk, and a traditional fireplace. A long corridor joined this living area to the bedroom, bathroom, and front door. The living area looked west over Hyde Park and Park Lane, whereas the bedroom looked north over a side street.
Some of these were sold between the wars, but most remain in the other Grosvenor family homes, mainly their country seat - Eaton Hall in Cheshire. Another extension was added in 1842, in the form of a 110-foot (34 m) long classical-style colonnaded entrance screen on Upper Grosvenor Street. At each end was a triumphal arch with pediments above sculpted with the Grosvenor arms. Thomas Cundy, the architect of this vast house, then proposed a larger mansion to go all the way along to Park Street, extending all the way to 230 feet (70 m). This idea was dropped, as the 2nd Marquess thought it would be too lavish.
The room and bathroom feels luxurious, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I wished I could have stayed longer for another helping but had to dash off to my appointment. I booked the night especially for my boyfriend Dan Grosvenor, we enjoyed the room, the ambiance and all of the employees were fantastic. In 1870, Hugh Grosvenor, 3rd Marquess of Westminster (later the 1st Duke) commissioned Henry Clutton to add a porte-cochère to the north, and he had many of the state rooms redesigned.
The lounges environment is enjoyable and never too busy, the staff are friendly and helpful, it is a pleasant place to work, hold a meeting, or relax. The food offering is impressive, tasty, and extensive enough to keep you full. If you do choose to eat out, the JW Steakhouse just up the corridor is well worth a visit, offering huge and tasty portions, including very large steaks for around £20 GBP a main.
